APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  • Applications for Admissions must be submitted online at https://joaps.iitg.ac.in by paying a non-refundable application fee of ₹750/-.
  • Only candidates in the JAM 2023 Merit List will be eligible to apply for admission. Irrespective of whether a candidate appears in the Merit List of one or two Test Papers, only one duly completed Application Form should be submitted.
  • The Application Form in the admission portal will be pre-filled with (i) name, (ii) category, (iii) date of birth, (iv) parent’s/guardian’s name, (v) mobile number, (vi) email id, (vii) photograph, and (viii) signature using the information provided during the application process for JAM Examination (or, corrected subsequent to the exam).
  • The candidates are requested to verify the details on the candidate portal (https://joaps.iitg.ac.in) before the start of the admission process and contact the Organizing Institute, in case of any discrepancy.
  • The list of documents required for applying is given in Annexure VIII. Based on the Test Paper(s) qualified, a Candidate can apply to one or more academic programmes covered under that Test Paper(s), subject to the fulfilment of the MEQs and ERs of the Admitting Institute(s).
  • All programmes to which the candidate is seeking admission must be selected, in the order of preference, during the application filling.
  • The candidates will not be able to change the choices or their preferences after the last date of application submission.


Documents Required

Basic Documents

  • Aadhar Card or First Page of Passport or Birth Certificate or Voter ID Card.
    Note that the name given in the JAM 2023 application should match with the name in the supporting document.
  • X standard (SSC) Certificate.
  • XII standard (HSC) Marksheet.
    For programmes that require 10+2 Mathematics, if a candidate has not studied Mathematics in 10+2, but has subsequently completed Mathematics course with open schooling (example NIOS), then the certificate for the same should be provided.

Marksheets

  • Marksheet of First Year of Qualifying Degree. If certificates are available as per semester, combine the certificates of 1st and 2nd semester.
  • Marksheet of Second Year of Qualifying Degree. If certificates are available as per semester, combine the certificates of 3rd and 4th semester.
  • If available, Marksheet of Third Year of Qualifying Degree. If certificates are available as per semester, combine the certificates of 5th and 6th semester.
  • If applicable, Marksheet of Fourth Year of Qualifying Degree. If certificates are available as per semester, combine the certificates of 7th and 8th semester.
  • If applicable, Marksheet of Fifth Year of Qualifying Degree. If certificates are available as per semester, combine the certificates of 9th and 10th semester.
  • If available, a consolidated Marksheet of all the years/semesters of the qualifying degree can be uploaded.

Other Documents

  • Filled in Declaration Form.
  • Degree Certificate, if available.
  • If applicable, OBC (NCL) Certificate or EWS Certificate in the specified format.
  • If applicable, PwD Certificate in the specified format.
